The queen of the Dolomites. The highest, most fascinating point in the whole of the Dolomites, easily and conveniently reachable by cableway. How can anyone miss such a superb opportunity to set off on a route through this enchanting, splendid area? And this is only the beginning; further wonderful surprises lie in store. From Malga Ciapela, an unforgettably beautiful walk will take you to the Malga Ciapela agritourist farm and to Malga Ombretta, along the fairytale little road which leads to the Val D’Ombretta, in the sight of the majestic South Wall. On the way back, the spectacular, unique Serrai di Sottoguda gorge awaits you; shortly after here, beyond the little villages along the carriage road to Arabba, we suggest turning off towards the village of Laste and Monte Migon. Here, your efforts will be amply rewarded by a visit to Malga Casiere Laste and by the magnificent views out over the mountain peaks and the bottom of the valley. From Digonera, you enter into the Fodom area; here you cannot help but be distracted by the Marmolada glacier, which rises splendidly up towards the south. Just after you go through Pieve di Livinallongo, 2km from Arabba, where the road widens, you will come to the Livinallongo dairy, which sells delicious, genuine products in the heart of the Ladin territory.
