The Speloncia, or Spinocia, on Monte Grappa was an old type of building in which food used to be stored; this one has been restored by the Municipal Council of Seren, and today is run by the cheese-maker Denis Secco, who uses the building for maturing and curing the typical cheeses of the Monte Grappa area: the centuries-old Morlacco (a slow food presidium, recognised as one of the 100 Italian cheeses most worth protecting), Bastardo, and cheeses made in Vallonera sul Grappa in a traditional dairy establishment composed of the cattle shed, the cason da fogo (a kind of stone oven used for making cheese and cooking food), the casarin, used for storing and maturing the cheese and a fojarol (a dwelling with the roof made of leaves and branches), where the cheese-maker lives. The Speloncia is easily reachable from the hamlet of Caupo; continuing on to Forcelletto and following the signs for Speloncia, you can reach the Valpore Environmental Education Centre. Close by are two typical restaurants which also offer accommodation, and visitors should not miss the splendid, popular Monte Grappa circular nature trail, which leads to the sites of the Great War battles..
