Malga Erera Brendol lies in the heart of theDolomiti Bellunesi National Park. It can be reached from the Val Canzoi along the Italian Alpine Club path number 802, and it is an ideal support and refreshment point for all those who wish to combine walks in the misdt of nature with the delicious, genuine taste of malga products. Fascinating demonstrations of butter and cheese making, and of everyday life on the malga in general, can be organized for groups by appointment. There is a wide variety of superb walking and hiking routes in the area, along which you can be accompanied by the nature guides of the National Park. Particularly interesting is the Desmontegada, the festival organized each year by the malga managers to celebrate the return of the cattle from the summer mountain pastures back down to the valley in September; the event lasts for three days, and is popular with both local valley-dwellers and tourists.
